RAHIM YAR KHAN – Several workers have been injured as the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) group clashed with each other over the dispute in local bodies’ election in Rahim Yar Khan.
The two groups associated with the PML-N ticket holder for chairman Mureed Khan Sarai and PPP ticket holder for vice chairman slot Javed Khan in the local bodies’ election at Khanpur Union Council clashed with each other on Wednesday, leaving several workers injured.
PML-N leader Mureed Khan Sarai and PPP leader Javed Khan are stated to be close relatives. The injured persons were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. The clash again started when both the groups came to the hospital for medical treatment.
The windowpanes of Emergency Ward were also broken during the clash. The police reached the site and took the workers to city police station for legal proceedings.
