Muzaffarabad, however, is not a place too unfamiliar for the PPP itself – as the city has witnessed the presence of two of the most popular leaders in the history of Pakistan: Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

In his July 14 address to the people of Rawalakot, Bilawal had strongly criticised the federal government’s attitude towards the escalation of violence in Indian-held Kashmir.
Regional elections in Azad Kashmir are scheduled to be held on July 21. All three major parties of Pakistan as well as regional heavyweight Muslim Conference and independents are contesting the elections.
